Specialist painter….

Clare Brown has been an artist/painter since attending an art based boarding school in England as a child… She went on to do a BA at one of the most famous art schools in the country Chelsea School of Art.

Since being in the USA she has worked in the film media as a Art Director and Production Designer and as a finisher on several prestige’s residential projects with such notable clients as Don Henley, MR. & Mrs. McMillan’s, Rod Stewart, Ms. L Kaufman and Rudyak’s residences.

The love of the work comes from the fact that the finishes create a atmosphere of tranquility and harmony in the house, that brings a calming and peaceful vibration to the all who enter…

For the last three and half years she has been the artist working to recreate the finishes on the very famous Beverly Hills land mark, The Witches House, a house, which has taken seven years to rebuild due to its unique architecture and style… It was originally built as a set for the 1930 version of “Hansel And Gretel”. It was moved from the lot to its current location and converted into a house many years ago. The new owner decided on rebuilding to preserve a beautiful part of Los Angeles history. Tourists and history buffs touring LA visit the house every day.

The love of nature is the inspiration behind her motivation, recreating nature in paint form. Marble, Stone, Wood, Ageing, Murals, Stencils… Guiding…metal finishes are also included in her vast range of finishes. Faking the meaning of Faux is as she sees it a way to pay homage to nature and the beauty that she gives to all of us…
