The Gaudi influenced tile-work which, “splashed out in pieces”, needed the Faux glaze work to soften the hard edges of both the ceramic hard edge and the tile patten as the transition between the two. Again extra plaster “bumps” were applied before the paint work to give the “shadow” feel that you see in these pictures...
